Arrowhead

Miranda found a stone arrowhead in Okanagan Lake today. In the lake, under waist-deep water. A pretty big one. How old? 200 years? 1000 years? 10 000 years?

The beaches

A major benefit of living in Kelowna is the city beaches. There are many and they are great.  A major negative of living in Kelowna are the fires. This is a semi-arid, fire-prone landscape....much like California, or the mediterranean. See bottom pic. That fire is from today. A few homes have been burnt down, and it's spreading. 

Rockies

I arrived finally!  4700km from Guelph to Kelowna. The ride through the rockies was as expected - spectacular. Here's a pic from Lake Louise, Banff National Park.
